Fareham 1851 look up request please
« on: Friday 06 March 09 11:50 GMT (UK) »
I wonder if anyone can help me with Elizabeth LESLIE b. Abt. 1836 in Boarhunt.
I have her in the 1861 at the Fareham Workhouse with two young children.
Many thanks
David

presumably thats a married name - do you have her Maiden name to save a search ?

OK,see you've logged off - theres an Elizabeth Seymour / Abraham Leslie marriage on the IOW in 1855 ....

That sounds brilliant Mum44.
Her two children were 4 and 2 in 1861 so that makes sense.
She went on to marry into the CUMMINGS family in 1863 to coincide with the birth of my ggrandmother.
Many thanks for the detective work.
David

Elizabeth Pratt was baptised 22 May 1836 in Boarhunt, parents John & Ann (except she was probably Mary Ann  ::) - the mother of Edward, George, John is shown as Mary Ann, for Martha, Stephen and William it is Mary!
