The William born Whaplode is, in 1881, an apprentice baker in Gedney........

Yes - Gedney's interesting, given that William/Mary E.'s children were born there!

There's also another likely marriage    ???  :o

Q2. 1897 Holbeach  to Mary Elizabeth Hurling   :-\

I think this is going to be a marriage certificate job, unless Helen knows any more about his later family and can sort them out :-\

Thank you everyone - I am going to investigate further and will, as suggested, get some marriage certificates

I have the birth certificate of the Willie Cundy I am looking for. He is an illegitimate son of Harriet Cundy and was born on 5 Nov 1867 in Turnpike, Moulton.

As mentioned before he is shown as grandson on 1891 census by which time his mother had left Lincolnshire and was living in Lancashire

The birth certificate shows his name as Willie although he may at some time decided to be known as William

Bye for now - I'll probably be back again
Helen

Mary Elizabeth Hurling was my 2nd cousin 3times removed, I lots of info on the Hurlings, but nothing on the Cundy's.
Primary research is Broughton family from Lincolnshire, England. Also Sandall and Tabiner from Lincolnshire; Taylor, Bennett and White from, Monmouth, Staffs and Barrow in Furness.

Hi Roy and Helen,

I was wondering if you have anything on Elsie Annie HURLING b. 2Q1893 in Spalding district.  She married Walter CROSBY in 3Q1910, also in Spalding district.  On the 1911 census she was 'Annie'.

I haven't been able to find her on the 1901 census, and don't have her parents names, so haven't found them either.

My interest is on the CROSBY side, but I'd like to find Elsie/Annie and her parents for completeness.

Best wishes,

Nick
