Well its a tricky one.
I've not been on here for AGES because since having my son 3 years ago I've had no time really for family history. I've forgotten how to do it even! lol
Anyway my mum and Uncle have been researching our family for a few years and have lots of info. They got stuck with one family member who they couldn't find after her birth.
Since then they've found her, found that she married before she died. They had been told she committed suicide with her lover on Hampstead Heath. But that is all they knew.
They then found her marriage. She was Emma Matthews. Seems she married a William Pateman in Dec 1901 and then they both died in Dec 1901.
Very strange indeed.
How can we find out what happened? We are desperate to know. Seems like a very sad story.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
