Both Places?

I just thought I'd see if anyone has any thoughts on the following.

I think I've found my relatives in two places on the 1851 census.  I know it's not unusual because they could be filled in where they were and where they lived/were presumed to be.  But does anyone else think that these two census entries might refer to the same people?

Piece: 2291; Folio: 239; Page: 23 - in the family home (HO 107)

Piece: 2115; Folio: 202; Page: 9 - in a guest house (HO 107)

I don't know if this is enough information for you to view the censuses or the transcripts because I can't find the RG number on ancestry.  (I had to use ancestry for this because the FindMyPast 1851 census coverage is very lacking, although I find it easier to follow.)  Please let me know if I need to provide anything else.

I know that lack of evidence to the contrary doesn't constitute as proof that they're the same, but I thought I'd ask those of you with much more census experience than me.

I think that the two sets of people Benjamin and Mary Lockwood are different. Benjamin at home is a hand loom weaver woollen whereas Benjamin at the Inn is a Traveller of some description I cannot quite work out what. I will check the other census just confirm.

I've just had a look at the 1861 census and found the two Benjamin and Mary's again so they are  different couples. Hope this helps.

That's fantastic - thank you.   I definitely needed another opinion because I was going round in circles looking at ages and places of birth. Never thought of the occupation field... doh!

You are welcome. Fortunately, they did have different occupations, also one wife originated from Yorshire and the other from Sunderland, Durham. However in 1851 that wasn't very clear whether the enumerator was being lazy or all in the household were born in the same place
