Jane Bell

I have been unable to find the parents of Jane Bell born 1829 in Gavinghill Kirkbean Kirkcudbright . She married Thomas Toolan and they lived in Applegarth Dumfries before moving to Lancashire. Hoping that someone has Jane in their tree!

Found only one  Jane Bell born on 28/3/1829 Balmaclellan, Kirkudbright, parents Robert Bell and Margaret Ross.

I have Thomas Toolan b 1828 Scotland m Jane Bell b 1829.
Havn't much info as this is the brother inlaw of my 3x great grand aunt.
Father Daniel Toulan b 1776 Ireland mother Jean Angus b 26 Jun 1792
Parish of Hutton & Corrie. She died 29 Oct 1946 Milnhouse.
Jean Angus parents are William Angus & Jannet Henderson.
Daniel & Jean married 7 Jan 1813 Applegarth Dumfries
other siblings are

Thomas & Jane marriage 1850 Kirkbean

June 30 this day Thomas Toolin of this parish
and Jane Bell of Castle Douglas were
proclaimed for the third and last time.

Castle Douglas is in Kirkudbrigh I think

Hi Peaches  , I've been looking again at your info . Re the children of Daniel and Jean -
william 1813 marr Ann Tweedie ( descendants available)
Janet 1816 - I haven't got this one . Are there records of her death that you know of please?
Janet 1819 - died 1823
James 1822 -I found a James Towlan on the castle garden website who emmigrated in 1862.
Ann married George Clemison , emmigrated to New York.
Thomas - my ancestor
Jane ( Jean) 1831 - I believe she married George Copeland
John 1833 - no info after 1841 census
Re children of Thomas and Jane - you missed out Janet 1859 . She had a very colourful life which I'm happy tp share!
Annie died age 21 , from chest problems and possibly the result of falling into a canal in Pendlebury Lancs on the way home from work in the fog. She was rescued but her friend was drowned.

William & ann are my family I have a few descendants, I have a few for Thomas and thats about it.
Can't remember where I got the info, was from a Lady also doing this family many years ago, too many notes to go searching through to find out who, totally disorganised. And a lot of info gone missing thanks to my faithful computer.
