Hello Chris, Could you please tell me if there are any names of witnesses to the marriage of

JOHN HIDE AND MARY RUSSELL married 12 May 1636.

Also does the register give an address for either of them
.Any details would be gratefully received.

Thankyou

Kesannah.

Hi there Kesannah

I transcribed the registers back in the 1990,s and that was all of the information that was written down - which was then computerised.

So I therefore believe that no other information was included in the register (95% certain) - but I could be wrong or have missed something.

Hi Suey

Looked at the St John Sub Castro baptism register, but could not spot either Harriet or Henry

These are the only ones between 1601 and 1845 - looks as though they moved into Lewes around 1824 as there is nothing before that date.

1829   March   15   Gibbs   Elizabeth   30
1825   January   4   Gibbs   Henry   24

I checked South Malling - there are no burial entries for Gibbs.
Also checked burials for Southover - again no Gibbs entries.

That leaves St Michael (Catholic Church) and St Annes without - Sorry, but I dont have the information for them

Hope I have been of help in some small way
