Hi Toni

Looked in the burial register (1892 - 1985) for St John the Baptist, Southover and found the following:-

Mar   15   1902   Mary Ann   Taylor      81   Southover
Jun   11   1918   Alfred   Taylor      67   Southover
Dec   18   1985   Richard   Taylor   Cremation   88   Lewes

Hello Chris, I hope that you had a restful holiday.

My 8th Gt. Grandparetns were married in that church in 1636.

John Hide and Mary Russell. Can you please tell me if there is a baptism listed for Mary Russell born abt.  1615

Also if there are any burials for Hide/Hyde at all.

Thankyou.

Hi Chris,

Still trying to fit those Taylors in but i have been told by a Lewesian that if they lived in Neville then they would have gone to St Ann's Church.

in 1901 they were at Mount St by 1950 they were at Highdown Road.

all the best
