Date and cleanup please

One of my father's sellotape jobs.  The back is not visible, previously glued into another album and the surface of that card remained firmly attached to the back of the photo when it was removed by him and put in the current album.

It looks very like my Aunt Rose, born in 1902.  But do the clothes, style, backdrop etc (and the aspidistra!) agree with that ID?

Hi Robert  :)

I'd say it could well be Aunt Rose, the photo seems to date from around the first world war period, up to about 1920 at the latest.  I'd say she's about 15 or so in the pic.

Thanks.  I'd thought about 14 which isn't far out, but I am no good on ages.  I just wasn't sure about the studio background being right.

The clothing, the pose and the dreamy backdrop are quite similar to this postcard photo in my collection...I don't know who she is but she helpfully signed the back with her first name, Daisy, and the date--August, 1914.

But that aspidistra looks like it's been to the front :P ;D
