Edward "Ned" Bowen, the footballer, died at the Llangollen Cottage Hospital in October 1921. The GRO says aged 60 which would make him born c1861 but that could be out by a few years .  His obituary in the Cefn Chronicle described him as "one time a popular Druids player". Among the mourners were Mr & Mrs L Bowen, who I would guess is the Lewis Bowen in the 1861 census. Ned Bowen gained 2 caps for Wales: (Druids) v Scotland 1880; v Scotland 1883.
