HI

It's me again, just before I disappear to the quacks for a checkup.

The only reference to a family I can find that has both Walter and Alfred in in Whimple in Devon.
Frank b 1855 Whimple m Allice b 1855 Sidbury
Children
William b 1877 Wales
Emma b 1879 Whimple
Walterb 1880 Whimple
Alfred b 1881 Whimple

I also know there is a link between them and moving to Cardiff.

I wonder if they are the ones I seek.

Hmmm. That Alfred seems to be an Alfred Henry Stark.
(birth Alfred Henry Stark Jun 1881 St Thomas 5b 55)

I can't see him after 1881 and there's a possible death:
Alfred Henry Stark age 1
Dec 1882 Cardiff 11a 216

(not saying it's necessarily him)

Do you know when Alfred died, just so we can check his birth year?

(There's an Alfred William Stark registered in Cardiff in 1898)

I haven't any dates at the moment, but the Alfred I need to locate lived a long life.

He married Daisy and was at my wedding in 1971 and lived quite a few years after that.

It must be the one born in Cardiff or there are some I know born in London about that time, but his brother Walter lived almost as long as he did so they have to be or record somewhere.

I can remember Walter as living in London though that doesn't mean born in London does it?

I'll try and get to see the family, but they are all semi-recluses.

Thanks for your help as it at least gives me some direction

PS yes I did see your posting about Olive.

I have found a similar, but the married name is Bound.

Sorry, I did mean Bound (it's my German accent coming through, probably ;D)

Hi

Your marriage was on the dot, and I have found a similar to add weight to it.

I found Alfred John Stark married Florence Daisy Bound in 1923 Cardiff.
Alfred was son of John b 1850 Whimple in Devon and Lucy b 1852 b Clyst St Thomas in Devon.

I've also found a large amount of starks that came toCardiff from Whimple at the same time and with any luck they will be related as well.

I will check this out when I go to the records office tomorrow.

Many thanks for your help.

I just need to find Florences Birth and Parents now.

I found Alfred John Stark married Florence Daisy Bound in 1923 Cardiff.
Alfred was son of John b 1850 Whimple in Devon and Lucy b 1852 b Clyst St Thomas in Devon.

But the marriage index shows him as Alfred W  ???
Marriage Dec 1923
Alfred W Stark - spouse Florence D Bound
Cardiff 11a 851
