Alfred STARK
« on: Tuesday 24 February 09 10:38 GMT (UK) »
Hi
Due to a computer crash I have lost some records and am now seeking any reference to
ALFRED STARK b around 1884 either Cardiff, London or Devon.(Something the family are not sure)
What they do know is he had a Brother WALTER and a married a DAISY
Alfred and DAISY had a Daughter OLIVE   b Cardiff 8 Sept c 1925
Olive was my wife's mother.
Can anyone please help me recover these records in time for our 40th wedding anivversary.

FreeBMD has the marriage of  Alfred J Stark to a Dorothy Krantsche in Cardiff in 1917 - was Daisy actually a Dorothy?

Have you got Olive's birth cert? (hopefully, as you have exact birth date) this will give mothers name and maiden name.

Edmonds/Edmunds - mainly Sussex
DeBoo - London
Green - Suffolk
Parker - Sussex
Kemp - Essex
Farrington - Essex
Boniface - West Sussex

Again FreeBMD (have you not checked there first?)

there is only one Alfred Stark birth around 1884, well, within a year or so-

Alfred Ernest Stark - Apr/MAy/Jun 1885 Cardiff

look like it must be him

but it makes that marriage less likely as that had a middle initial J.

Hi

As yet I have got nothing much to go on, but I hope later this week to try and get a copy of Olive's cert.

I am frustrated at the moment thanks to the crash, but luckily most of my files were backed up.

Daisy could well have been Dorothy as this was often the shortened version.

My wife's mother Olive married a James Carbis. Alfred is Olive's father.

I'll dig a little further in the family and rack their memories.

Thanks for you help

Hi

I just found a Dorthy Krantzeke b 1893 Cardiff.

I wonder if this is as mis spelling of Kantsche or vice versa
