Don't know if this is any use as it's going further back but my 3 x g grandfathers second wife was Elizabeth Liddell b 1818 in Tanfield, daughter of William Liddell. The family lived in Thornley where William was a colliery blacksmith. If there is a connection with your Liddles then I have some bits of interesting information to share.

If the Christison's were living in the Quarrington/Coxhoe area they might have used Cassop-cum-Quarrington St. Paul for their baptisms.

Kelloe St. Helen.  Claim to fame was that Elizabeth Barrett [later add Browning] was baptised there.  Same page as my Uncle Matthew Snowdon ;)

Gary,

Which family moved around a bit?  Seems the Liddle's and Christison's both lived in the Kelloe Parish area.
