I too have had offers of advice, look ups, information and pictures. Rootschatters are so extremely helpful and well informed. Just yesterday I finally found my great grandfather's place and date of death. I had been searching since 2004 and had hit a solid brickwall. I made contact with a previously unknown second cousin and he was able to supply the information. Don't ever give up on finding information.
Thank you to all Rootschatters who give so freely of their time.

One of the few honourable sites on this thing called the internet.  No doping going on here.
Tight and rigorous governance in context of a super assist researcher nexus.  Has become my preferred live website.  Speedy responses and many are truly very thoughtful and helpful.

This site will be a lot of help to me, it has already helped me to give photograph restoration a try. The links to various registers I hope will help search for the English branch of my family. So all in all I am very pleased indeed I found this site.

Al, I am hardly ever on here these days, but I can tell you, this site is about as good as you will get when it comes to research.
They are a wonderful lot and I am sure that you will soon have a sizable Family Tree to be proud of.

Within 5 minutes of simply browsing at random I've already discovered several resources that were unfamiliar to me. So yes indeed rootschat is very helpful. !

This site was recommended to me by a friend on another forum (nothing to do with family history), because she'd found Rootschat very helpful. I'm not sure just yet how much help it'll be for me, as I've already done a lot of research on both sides of both my husband's and my own family, but it'll be fun finding out!
