Hi, I' ve only been registered for a few days but I'm hooked!
I've had help already and I hope I have been able to help someone else. I posted a reply to a query which I hope was of help.
So yes was the way I voted.
Well done Rootschat! I was stuck and getting very fed up but now I've got a new lease of life!!

There's so much to learn about research and this site!!
A big big thank you to everyone!!

Ps How do I use the faces?

Hi Olly,

Nice to hear that you are enjoying the site ;D

By 'the faces' do you mean the animated smileys or the little ones at the top when you post a message?

Ok,first the animated ones,if you go here there are instructions for how you do it,

http://www.rootschat.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=11436.msg37805#msg37805

The other ones at the top are easier, when you want to use one just click on the ones you want to use as you need them. They wont appear as smileys until you preview and eventually post the message.

Go on,have a play,its fun ;D

Hope this helps,Mick ;)

Ps. you can try stuff out on the 'just trying this out' thread.

Rootschat has been a help to me, over and over and over and, well you get the idea.

Even if it just to preserve my genealogical sanity...

RootsChat has been a help to me too - it's kept me out of the pub, and improved my typing skills - it's also shown me how lovely and helpful every RootsChatter is !
