Just noticed I hadn't voted so even though I have been here for a good few years now I have voted now to nudge that figure up towards the 1k mark. I would like to know who voted 'no' ;D
Bloomfield, Knights, Whitmore, Warner (Suffolk)
Hamlin (London, Yorkshire, Scotland, Suffolk)
Mattocks, Newick, Nutter, (Kent)

Welcome Johnrs

Many of us on here do not use the Chatroom (called Chatterbox on Rootschat), we just use the different threads to post or try to answer questions.

To put up a request, just go to Forum and choose where you want to put your request.  Either in beginners, or under the particular County your ancestors came from.  You'll soon get the hang of it.

We're all very friendly and no-one minds helping out with searches.  After a while, you'll find you too, will be helping out other newcomers.

Lizzie

A welcome from me also, johnrs.

This is a great site and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.  There are lots of experts who can help with the 'brick walls' and you will soon find there are questions others are asking that you can help with.  Just post as much info. as you have with a request and you'll soon find someone comes along to help.

Never forget that every single person on here was a beginner once  ;)

Good luck,

Maggie
