I have found and confirmed my Irish connection. Muir's father and mother are Hugh and Mary, and I have found his siblings.  Now moving on to Janets' parents.  Haven't found her siblings as yet. Have to trace their county of origin.  William and Mary.  O'May and Milloy could not get more Irish than that, or maybe you could.

I found an unknown Gr Aunt. So now I have another 2 names added, possibly 3.
by the time I have added her children and their spouses ......who knows.

I have the Irish surname Walsh or Welsh in my father's tree, but it goes back to before 1700 in Lincolnshire. What chance to trace this back to Ireland?

Do you know Julian?
He has set a posting for anything Irish.  For anyone having problems to place it there and he may be able to help.

Do not know whether it is the same person, but apparently a vault to the irish records has been unlocked and all the little fisches are making their way to a digital database Hurray!!!  It could take 10yrs.

I had a school friend called Jane Walsh.  Lost contact with her years ago.  She had two/3 brothers. Lived in a house at the back of a pub.

Do you have a link available please? I know it is a long way back, but still worth a try. Your friend lived in a good location!
