A remarkable degree of success from the vast majority of my requests- and usually within a small number of hours after posting. My favourite site - just wish I could keep up with all the new information I am receiving.

The tags idea is innovative, and helps writer and reader alike to focus on the most relevant parts of the requests.

Congratulations and Thanks - KR Dave

I have been using RootsChat for a short period of time, my wife even less, we have been amazed at how quickly there has been responses to our enquiries, sometimes within minutes. Where the information comes from we do not know but, we are extremely grateful for the assistance given. Well done RootsChat and all the wonderful people who help

Hey, you are definitely the best!  The ultimate bit potatoes! I couldn't have done it without you.  I was a complete novice and from constantly picking everyone's brains I am now back to 1760 and oooh aaah misses does my tree have some meat on it!

I have never come across a site that has so many knowledgeable and helpful people and it seems, at least with me,  endless patience.  I do think that a lot of sites/people don't realise that there are people just starting out and there can be a lot a lot of snobbery about genealogy.  I think that this site promotes the message that we are looking for a common goal and if we share our findings we will all reach it much quicker.

Good on ya and keep it up as I've still got a million questions.

Hi  :),
I think that Roots Chat is "the best". It's not stuffy and friendly people answer my sometimes obscure questions.
You have all helped me a lot.  I will help others if I can.
