Revised Lily Woolacott query

Kind of revisiting my old topic but with a totally different slant

I had always thought Robert Henry Woolacott junior b. 1878 had married LILY BENNETT in 1913 and I had based some searches on that assumption.

His father Robert Henry Woolacott senior b. abt.1851 left a Will and I was able to read it on the wonderful new Provic facility.

During my reading it became apparent that it was he, the old man, who married LILY BENNETT.  He was a widower whose wife  Mary Jane BENNETT had died in 1912.

 He had 2 children in the second marriage.

His marriage certificate [which I downloaded post haste] shows he has taken 3 or 4 years off his age ..after all 58 for the 26 yr old bride looks better than 62.

He was a farmer in Echuca and my great grandfather.

I would like to know more about LILY BENNETT.

According to the marriage details, she was born in Melbourne  about 1887.
Father ROBERT, Mother Mary CHISOLM.

I know there have been some electoral searches, but having more parental information may turn up something on her.
I have some limited information about her 2 children Raymond and Bessie.
Particularly interested in her early location and any siblings etc.

PS I think the shared surname of the 2 wives is merely co-incidence..not sure.
The first wife [Mary Jane] father was William, not Robert

Can't see a Robert and Mary as parents.....but there's this one......

Searching Bennet as well as Bennett, and can't see children born to a Robert Bennet(t)and Mary Chis(h)olm between 1836 and 1901.

But....have found a death for Matilda Bennett....which doesn't help....... 

Matda BENNETT aged 45 died in Hawth in 1895
Father = Robt Chisolm & Mother = Sarah Ann MAXWELL
Ref = 9548


A number of children born to Robert and Matilda.....I'll post them if you want them.

Perhaps LILY's mother just called herself Mary for some reason.

Robert was a bootmaker on the marriage cert.

Dee, I would be pleased to see the list of children to Robert and Matilda, if you would post them.

Another coincidence is that Mary Jane BENNETT the first wife was also born in Nunawading.  I seem to remembe that district was much larger then than now.

Now I am just trying to figure something here.

One of Mary Jane Bennett's brothers was named ROBERT.
He was born 1859.

If the two Robert's are the same man, his parents shoud be William Bennett and Jane Johnston.
