Just these at the moment from New Plymouth cemetery search on line. Jacob was the husband of Charlotte, John was their son, & Horace Henry was a grandson of theirs.

I ventured out to Bell Block today. At St Lukes Cemetery and Biblical Garden and Labyrinth I didn't find any Headstones for Feakins. This is the main cemetery in Bell Block and can be seen from the main road but has a back road entry off Murray Street. On Mangati Road the only headstones I could find was at St Lukes Church, no Feakin's there either. It's possible this may be the old cemetery with the new St Lukes built on the property, there are only about 30 headstones here. I will however contact the council tomorrow and inquire again about the whereabouts of the Mangati Road Cemetery.

A lady at the New Plymouth library contacted me regarding my inquiry about Charlotte, there are no burial details held there for Charlotte but she did suggest I contact the Waitara History Group.
I'll contact them tomorrow as well.

Hi Lil,

Thank you for that, I am still waiting for a reply to my snail mail enquiry.
Info from Australia said there was a family plot there a few years ago, but no definate news of Headstones.
My copy of Death Certificate arrived and Charlotte was buried at Bell Block on the 9th Dec 1907.

You saved me a call to Stratford. I spoke with a lady at the Waitara History Project Group and she said Charlotte was either not buried at Bell Block or not listed, in this case not listed as you have confirmation she is there. Bell Block Cemetery isn't administered by the NPDC, which is why they can't help with any further information regarding Charlotte.

I have a lady to ring tonight who has the details on who is in both cemeteries. The headstones I found at the new St Lukes church is indeed the Mangati Road Cemetery. Your probably correct regarding the family plot there but definitely I didn't see any headstones for them, unless they're undercover in the bush area. I'll know more after I've spoken with the lady who holds the records at St Lukes.

Good news came through today, looks like my Australian rellie has a photo of Jacob & Charlotte. That will be neat to see.

I have had a reply to the mail query I sent but no luck there. I think we both might have contacted the same lady.

I have the photo from Australia of Jacob & Charlotte. Fingers crossed I can attach it.

I think you may be right about contacting the same lady ( great minds think alike ) She explain that back in the time period of the Feakins death, people were buried anywhere and everywhere in the cemetery. However I will be going back to Bell Block this weekend sometime and will just check the bush area, if nothing else I can take a photo of the location if it's apparent that there are no headstones for the Feakins.  This lady referred me to the Waitara History Project Group, which I'd previously done.
