Hi Swampduck

It just goes to show it really is a small world.  I wonder if your Mum remembers the Lyon family Walter and Olive and their children Mavis, Jean and Alan?  It's intriguing how our Mum's were both evacuated to Lincs,  Before being evacuated Mum went to Green Lane, Mill Green and Whitehall Road schools, she was originally born in 2nd Avenue Armley but they moved to Wortley Lane in the 1930's.

I remember her talking about other families and relatives living around that area at that time including the Nicholls, Truelove, Dennison, Conway, Leng  and Swift families.

It's sad searching on Google Earth and finding out how much has disappeared under dual carriageways around that area.
