Hi Kells,

BARTLETT 10 Apr 1853 aged 70
There is a Headstone to the family in Closworth
James BARTLETT Husband of Ann (Nanny). Father of Benjamin, Charlotte, Sarah, Mary, Bethia, Seth and Maria. Charlotte, Sarah, Mary and Bethia were buried elsewhere
Ann BARTLETT (Nanny) Wife of James. Mother of Benjamin, Charlotte, Sarah, Mary, Bethia, Seth and Maria. Charlotte, Sarah, Mary and Bethia were buried elsewhere
Benjamin 7 Dec 1828 aged 21 son of James and Ann (Nanny) Burial says 7 Dec 1827 so mistranscription somewhere
Maria 19 Mar 1878 aged 61 Daughter of James and Ann (Nanny)
Seth 6 Oct 1888 aged 60 Son of James and Ann (Nanny)
Bethia 1885 aged 67 Daughter of James and Ann (Nanny)
Charlotte 1832 aged 23 Daughter of James and Ann (Nanny)
Mary 1883 aged 70 Daughter of James and Ann (Nanny)
Sarah 1887 aged 76 Daughter of James and Ann (Nanny)
I do not see any burial record for Solomon
There is a John 28 May 1810 but no age is given (Also a John 17 Aug 1817 aged 18 months)
There are certainly plenty of Bartletts buried in Closworth and plenty of Dollimounts and variants buried in Hardington, but alas no luck with baptisms
Could be of Interest that there was a Rev Nathaniel BARTLETT at Closworth - he was christened 12.7.1761 in East Coker. (Son of Reverend Nathaniel Bartlett and Susanna) )He married Henrietta Harbin 13.10.1808 in Closworth. They were buried in Closworth, don't know if there was a connection. Barlett seems to be very common in the area.
Older Bartletts buried at Closworth
Joseph aged 71 buried 21 Nov 1833. Most of the earlier ones do not list ages. There is a Nathaniel in 1790 possibly the Rev's father but it doesn't give a age. A Benjamin in 1782 (curious since James had a son Benjamin) A John in 1815 aged 86 and a Miriam in 1821 aged 72, also Edward 1820 aged 56.
Hope someone can help with baptisms
Cheers Kris
