Cherrington Descendants

Forgive me if I do any of this incorrectly - This is the first time I have used roots chat!!
I should like to find descendant of  Stephen (Foundry worker) and Rebecca Cherrington who married in Tipton Stafford in 1853.
They travelled to Aukland on the Nimroud in 1864 along with Rebecca's  sister and her family (- they were James and Elizabeth DALEMAN.)
Stephen was born c1827
Rebecca was born c1830

Isaac was born 18.4.1856
Harriett was  born c 1860

The Cherringtons travelled to NSW and another daughter Elizabeth was born there in 1866.
(I have some correspondance between Stephen and the UK at this time)

Rebecca died in Australia at some time in the 1870s and Stephen and the remainder of the family returned to NZ.
Stephen CHERRINGTON died in 1891 and is buried I think in Waikumete Cemetery.

Harriet married Joseph COOPER in 1894
Elizabeth married Silas James STEVENSON in 1891
I can find no information about Isaac except that he died in 1934 aged 77 and is buried in Hunterville

Harriett COOPER died in 1946 aged84 and is buried in Gisborne
Joseph COOPER died in 1930 aged 85 and is buried in Gisborne
Silas James STEVENSON died in 1898 aged only 30 and is buried I believe in Gisborne
Elizabeth STEVENSON died in 1940 aged 72 and is also buried in Gisborne

If anyone recognises these families I would be really pleased to hear from them.
I havent as yet been able to go back beyond one generation for Stephen - but I do have details of his many brothers.
Hoping to find news of CHERRINGTONS (only if Isaac did marry!) COOPERS  or STEVENSONS.

And you are doing just fine with the presentation of all this information.   

Yes, it does appear perhaps that Isaac CHERRINGTON did not marry ... can find no entry on the NZ Marriage Index.

And I guess that as you have cemetery information for him, that search might also have revealed any other CHERRINGTON"S buried nearby ?

[BUT ... depending on when in the 1870's the family came back to NZ, Isaac could have been of an age, to have married whilst still in Australia, and returned to NZ with a "bride" ?     It may be worth posting a look-up on the Australian board to check if there was a marriage there for him ?  ]

Dear Lu - Thank you for your reply -  I will look at the poss of him marrying in Australia and thus having a bride.  I have just applied for marriage and death certificates for the family so perhaps that will give more info.

II will probably return then with more questions - at least I hope so!!.

I have got this far because of a letter in an old tin trunk  - its been an interesting trail...

He did live in NZ many years back and does have relatives here.
