Hello to All

I am looking for info on my GT GT Grandmother w born 1858/9 in Athlone on the Roscommon side of the town. She married a William Grice born in Birmingham England I believe he was in the british army based at the garrison in Athlone they both moved to Birmingham in England by the time of the 1881 uk Census.

Any info on the MADDEN family would be gratefully received I will also be travelling to Ireland in May 09 to visit Athlone so any pointers where I may look would also be gratefully received.

Hello Martin,

Griffith's Valuation doesn't list a Madden in Athlone, Roscommon (1857-8) but does list one in Westmeath (1854)

John Madden, Athlone Court, Devenish-Lane, St. Marys, Athlone. Westmeath
