I'm sure there is a Porteous gravestone just up from the gates on the Acklam road entrance !

Many thanks mikeguess.  From time to time I believe there is a group of rootschatters who visit the local cemeteries and will take photographs.  As I am not in the U.K. I will keep the information you have sent me on hand for the next occasion.  Most appreciated.

Is anyone able to tell me if the plan includes graves with no headstones?  I have not found my family on the gravestone project website and I think they must have been buried there as they lived in the Linthorpe area, but I doubt if they would have been able to afford a gravestone.

If anyone is able to look up the name Cromack for me, I'd be very grateful.  They were the only family of this name in Middlesbrough so any Cromacks would be my family.

Best wishes
Liz
