Thanks for all your sterling work Deeluka!

Ernest Henry Warren was my Great Uncle, & (along with Wombat on here) I've been looking for him for ages...

His brother, Norman Claude Warren, (Born Lewisham, Kent, England, February 1906) was also dispatched to Canada by the NCH, as a 'Home Child'. However, we believe that he too might have made it to Australia. Can anyone see anything on him?

On the Death Cert of his mother, Amy Eliza CAMPBELL, formerly WARREN, nee DUFFIN, Norman Claude is listed as Deceased.   (Amy Eliza died in 1959).

The informant was Terence Walter Warren, who was Norman Claude's brother. This means that there must have been some contact between the brothers, although whether this meant that Norman died in Australia or not is unknown.

Any help welcomed!
Cheers, Romilly.

Romilly and Wombat,
Norman's death doesn't turn up in the NSW Death indexes. (To 1978)
Can't see a marriage either.....  :-\

I can check the Electoral Rolls to see if he's listed there.

Hi
I had a look at the Ernest Warren who married the Essie.
Essie Grace died 9 July 1931 and her husband Ernest died 1 July 1970 aged 66yrs.

The Ernest Warren who died 26 Sept 1962-death notice doesn't mention a wife but does mention children and stepchildren along with a sister called Lily and brothers Harold and George.
Don't know if this helps
Regards
Annie

Hello All

Annie, thank you ...... perhaps not this one.  Our Ernie didn't have siblings with the names you mention (unless these were brothers and sister-in-law).

Romilly, a pleasure to have you with me - and we actually had some rain today (a cracker of a storm and torrential rain)!

Dee, thank you very much once more ....... and you too Sue.

I'll be back tomorrow.

G'night all .........

Phone calls distracted me.   ::)

No Norman Claude Warren is listed anywhere in Australia on Electoral Rolls.

Thanks annecaroline.....that means we can cross off one couple.
