Hanover Hotel, Hanover Street, Liverpool

Does anyone have an old photographs of the Hanover Hotel anything up to the 1970s would be of interest.  Would love to have some for our family records.

The Hanover Hotel is still a very popular local `haunt` here in Liverpool...why not ring them and ask them if they have any old photos....if they have and you need someone to photograph them,let me know...I`ll go and have a pint there and use my mobile phone to photograph them and then forward them to you...just google Hanover Hotel Liverpool....good luck...allan

Lost count of how many pints I had there - was brought up behind the bar!   Not sure the current owners have any, I know that we have given them some old memorablia though that they were going to put in a display case but still kept a few things for myself, we also gave them a run down on some of the history from when our family had it.

I just asked if anyone had any photos on here on the off chance.

Rubyroo...were you there when Paul Weller walked in with an acoustic guitar and asked if he could play a few songs for free...and the manager said OK...but didn`t know who Paul Weller was...he played for 2 hrs and the place was heaving...about 6 years ago...it turned out Weller was doing the Pop Prom on the dock and used it as a practice session ... .allan

Just a bit of trivia ... but in 1825 ... at 62 Hanover Street a man named  Robert Williamson lived there and I believe he was the Swedish Consul !!

I would have thought someone on this site may have some photos for Rubyroo....by the way...7 year old grandson who is staying at nanny and grandads got me up at 5am...little ***...lol...allan
