I have looked at the register and unfortunately this name does not appear the only Thompson listed is for

Thanks for looking it up for me.

Marian Thompson seems to have different birth years in different census etc. She could have been born, I suppose, any time between 1826 & 1844. Are you able to have a quick look at other years for me. She also had a brother, John Charles THOMPSON, again supposedly born in 1838 in the same district, but this also may be some years either way.

Anything you can find on these Thompsons would be helpful.

Hi Bob,
Richard Atkinson Thompson is the only Thompson on the Ardwick Register that I have.

Try this website http://www.lan-opc.org.uk/ they transcribe Lancashire Parish Registers and you can search all parishs that have been completed.

I am hoping that you might be able to find a baptism for my Gt. Grandfather - Harry Arthur CHADDERTON.
A family bible entry has his birth date as 8 Oct 1836 in Ardwick and a newspaper marriage notice confirms the place of birth. His father's name was Samuel CHADDERTON and his mother's name may be Mary.
