1901 census look up please
« on: Saturday 14 February 09 16:40 GMT (UK) »
Hi
I am looking for the family of William Clark born abt 1880 Walthamstow, and wife Lily Mabel Clark born Debenham 1881 Suffolk, they married in 1898,  in Walthamstow.
The address they both gave was Chelmsford Rd, William was a Bricklayer.
They had son William 1898/9 followed by Annie in abt 1900, and Florence in abt 1901.
I have tried to find them but with no luck, if any one can help I would really appreciate it.
                      Regards Sue  :)

Hi Sue.
There is a William Clark 20 yrs bricklayer in Walthamstow as a visitor at 28 Edinburgh Rd.......RG13/1625..63 page 11.

Also there is a William Clarke 3 yrs as an adopted son (as transcibed..not too sure myself) at 2 Field Rd Walthamstow..... RG 13/1625..138..page 13.

I can't see a Lily though.

Hope this will be of help.

Malcolm.

Hello Malcolm
Thank you for your help, I did see William the Bricklayer in Edinburgh rd, it said he was  single, (they could have got it wrong) so I think it could be him.
I did not see William the adopted son,  If William was the only child I would think he was with a baby sitter, were would young Annie and mum Lily be, its a mystery.
Thanks so much again for your help
                                   Kind regards Sue  :)
