Hi
Yes - I think your side of the Power family has lead me on many a wild-goose chase!

I think your Power family is no relation to mine. Michael erected the headstone in the Holy Cross Church cemetery - I have details of the inscription if you don't have it. Michael died 27 May 1923. His wife was Johanna d. 28 Nov 1911. Two of his daughters are also recorded Bridget d. 21 Oct 1933 and Mary d. 15th April 1937.
The inscription appears to show Michael's father was John Power d. 2 Mar 1840 aged 45 and his mother Anne d. 14 Sept 1857.
John's mother was Johanna Power (nee O'Brien) d. 17 June 1886 aged 95. She was recorded on the death record as a farmer's widow and Michael was the informant.
Amazingly the family are one of the very few recorded on the 1851 census extract. It records Johanna aged 50 Widow & Mother married in 1823; Michael aged 23; Andrew, aged 17 and Mary aged 16, living in Priest Rd
She is also in the Griffiths Valuation of approx 1850's, and the occupier of house and land leased by Mrs Sophia Talbot (No6) but appears to own the houses either side. There is also Joanna Power who owns most of the houses in St Ledger Place nearby - could it be the same?
Michael is recorded living in Priest Rd in a directory of 1894 and 1909/10 (occupation as farmer).
Hopefully this is a good starting point.
