Im reseaching family history for Wilson my Great granny was Bella Wilson maried a Joe Foster. Bella's mother and father was Andrew Wilson and Hannah Burnside from either yorkshire or lancashire is there anyone out there who knows these names or as a connection any info would be appreciated sorry no dates at the moment

 i have info on Bella, my grandad was Bella's younger brother Andrew Wilson born 1882, my uncle Bobby Wilson married Renee Foster his cousin,Bellas daughter, i can also remember meeting great aunt bella in the 60's .my mother Janey Wilson was brought up with the Fosters but she always refered to uncle Bill. Hannah Burnside married Terrance Raffarty in 1860 and ''married'' Andrew Wilson in 1875.I have her 1st marriage certificate.see also May Wilson 1911 Robinson fairground Kettering she is stopping next to Hannah Rafferton .I think that was hannah Burnside her mother -in -law ,according to family legend.I have more info if its wanted .i.ve just started researching and have been reading old posts so this info is probably out of date---regards-janeo

Dear Shushie on the 1901 census stopping with Andrew wilson and Hannah ,are William Foster 32, Bella Foster ,20 and Hannah Foster 6 months.  Bella was my grandads sister. uncle Bill was his brother- in -law.all the Wilsons came from yorkshire . i have just started researching. all my info so far is that the Wilson were pot dealers[ of the earthenwear kind!!].my name is Janey Smith,my mother was Janey wilson, my dad was Jack Smith all travelers. i emigrated to canada in 1888.from leicester. i can remember great aunt Bella and also your  gran Hannah ,I was born in 1948 ,and my mam told me lots of  old stories. I have photo of Hannah Wilson taken in about 1914.and also her 1st marriage certificate, 1860, these were in my grandad Andrews papers when he died .Hannah Wilson was a burnside, her father was Edward Burnside born 1816 and Ann Burnside 1822. also Andrew Wilson, Bellas dad was born in 1847 in  Thorne Yorks his dad was Robert Wilson born 1819.
 The names run down. My mam had 3 brothers  Andrew ,Robert, and John ,and I have a cousin living in leicester  Andrew Wilson.I have lots of info. its nice to re-live it .I'm going away  until Sunday so will not be online .When my computer wizz kids visit i will get some photos to you if you like,let me know  Regards----Janey

My name is Ruth Foster, and Bill Foster is my Paternal Great Grandad. The Fosters spent a lot of time in Northamptonshire, and they were most definately Romany. They travelled most of the time but did have regular stops in winter. Bella and Bill also had a son called Arthur who was my grandad (Hannah's brother) he married my Nan Barbara Stevens, who was also a Romany although her family were from Kent. My dad is is Bill and Bellas grandson and he lived most of his life on the romany routes and has lots of information.  I am very happy to share information as I only know about the Fosters side.

Hi nice to hear from you i,ve been researching the Wilson ,Burnside line its all fairly new to me ,i,ve found family on both sides .My dad was a Smith from northants and warickshire and my mam was Arthur's cousin .His Sister Renee married my mams brother Bobby Wilson,who was her first cousin .Her name was Janey Wilson. I,m on face book.we have quite a group of family on there,you most likely know some of them . I moved to Canada 20 years ago so i have to re-search long distance .I have lots of info be wonderfull to swap and keep in touch --- Janeo

Cliffkinch, there is a census i put on here Fosters of Nassington, with in fo on how far back have you gone so far? my granny was Hannah, Bill and Bellas daughter.

I have most of my info on Ancestry.co.uk, do you have access, if you do you will be able to look at my tree with the details on you are very welcome to use.  I have only recently started and getting as much information out of my dad and my uncles and aunts as possible. He travelled with most of his family all of the time so has some great stories, what we dont have is many photos (due to a fire some years ago!!!) I have attached 1 picture of my Nan and Grandad though. Arthur Foster and Barbara Foster on their wedding day. If there is anything specific you want to know please ask I will get as much information as I can.
