You have probably seen the Letters of Administration on PROV wills for the Squires David PARTRIDGE, bootmaker of Ballarat, who died 1 Aug 1876; presumably the father of the one who died in 1914. Administration is granted to S D PARTRIDGE.  On the PROV documents his name is shown sometimes as "David Squires" as well as "Squires David".

There is an electoral roll entry for Squires PARTRIDGE in 1919 also - perhaps a third generation or perhaps just not removed from the roll.

Do you want any further info on him?

Hi Judith,

Thanks for info.  David Squires Partridge, bootmaker,  came out from
London.  He died in 1876.

His son is Squires David and he is alive in 1919 (from electoral roll)   He had a son also called Squires David and he died in 1914 at 27years of age.   Just wondering what the young Squires died of?

Any other info on family appreciated.

cheers LYN

Just wondering what the young Squires died of? LYN

To learn more about your person, you would need to purchase the certificate. An uncertified image can be downloaded to your computer immediately upon payment of about  Aus. $18.00.  You will need the registration number which I have given above

 http://online.justice.vic.gov.au/CA2574F700805DE7/page/Family+history?OpenDocument&1=60-Family+history~&2=~&3=~

This link shows what you may see on all Victorian certificates.  How complete and accurate the information is, depends on the knowledge of the informant.

I believe there will be other information available about the family, but it may be best if you let us know what you are mainly seeking at the moment ;)
