Perfect!  Thank you .  this agrees with what I thought but needed some reinforcement .
Now on to tracing  the McInnes & McDougall lines from Kilbrandon.  I am positive on the John McInnes marrying Christie McDougall  around 1886 but anything before that is a guess.
Too many  John McInnes's to be sure and I have no points of refernce.

Thanks again .

Julia

If you get stuck on the McInnes/McDougall lines, why not start a new post altogether on them and get fresh eyes  :)

I am trying to find my way around and cannot , for the life me, find out how I got to you in the first place!  I know that I found an Inverness category  but now can't figure out how to get back to that screen to find Kilbrandon or culipool.  lol

In my husband's Mc/MacLeod tree, there is a Malcolm McLeod, b. 8 April, 1804 Hallaig, Isle of Raasay, married to Chirsty McLean (Christy, Christian)  b. 1807 Hallaig, dau. of William McLean, farmer and Margaret McLeod.
Malcolm's parents were Torquil (Torcul) McLeod b. c. 1774 and Christina McLennan.  I have started a new topic under "Chirsty McLean of Hallaig", hoping to find out more information of the McLeans.
I have been in touch with you before, Rebecca re the McLeods of Hallaig.  Ruth MacLeod (Australia)
