Is there anyone out there who knows anything about ST KEVINS HOSPITAL DUBLINabout 1900- 20. I heard it was renamed later on.
My grandfather RICHARD WALSH died there and i don't know how to search for his records. Pauline

The new St James's hospital replaced St Kevins (in the 1970's) -  it was previously known as the South Dublin Union.

hi pauline,the records for south dublin union are kept in the 'four courts' in dublin and you would need to have someone who could check them for you.a request to view these ledgers can be made to the national archives in bishop street dublin who then have them brought to bishop street archives for viewing.the ledgers are very fragile and are handwritten. i have spent an entire day just going through these looking for a grandfather who was an orphan in the south dublin union in the late nineteenth century and early twentieth century.i wish you luck with your search.
