Without knowing when Patrick Morris was born it's difficult to suggest where to look for information.
Civil registration of births in Ireland started in 1864 so if he was born 1864 or later you could search for a birth certificate which would list names of both parents and the exact place of birth.

Thanks, I've found him on the 1901 census by looking up my great aunt, he was born circa 1868 at Dunnock More, Dublin, Ireland.  He was six when he came here to live with his family. Im going to search the 1871 + census to see if I can find his parents.

IGI has some, not all, Irish births 1864-c1882 so it would be worth checking for Patrick there. If you know names of parents suggest doing a parent search to see if any siblings are in IGI as well.

You haven't explained why you are looking in Dublin in the first place - the 1901 Census simply says Dunnock More, Ireland.

If you look at the 1891 Census of England, you will find mention of Patrick Morris, coal miner, b Co Tyrone c1866 [insignificant difference], living in Tow Law, Hedleyhope, Co Durham.

It looks like you should probably focus on Donaghmore, Co Tyrone.

Would you like me to move this topic to Co. Tyrone board?
