I found a marriage on IGI M018334 for Compton ... is that close?....

  Stanford in the Vale is on my Faringdon cd so is a Compton Beauchamp

 I think there is a ? Compton nr Chipping Norton and there is also a Compton near West Ilsley

 Im sure someone will say if im wrong about the CN one

Looking about the census...  Doesn't give much help for Mary's maiden name .... BUT

The Hunt gals with their mam... and who's next door 30 yrs William Rouse and Mary (1st wife ?)
