 I'm not sure of their dates of birth, I think it will have been somewhere around 1928 give or take a few years.

Thanks Sue for the death notice.  At least I have an idea now of where to start looking for the Rushworths in the white pages.  I've found 1 already - W Rushworth, First Avenue, Seven Hills, so fingers crossed!!

Sparrett - thanks for Gwen's birth details, that's spot on.  Although I've still not been able to trace any record of her death. Think it was about 1963.

Yes, that looks like the one.  May I just ask you where you got it from.  Being relatively new to this research, I dont understand the 2009/1964 figures.  Does that mean she died in 1964?  Sorry to appear thick!!

The figures you refer to 2009/1964 form the complete registration number.
the '1964' part gives the year.

Thanks very much once again.  I hope that I don't have to bother anybody any further.  I'm sorry for appearing so stupid.  I've tried the Seven Hills number in Sydney and just got an answer machine, they must be at work.  I'll try again in the morning.  Will let you know if I have any success.
