This seems to indicate that there are more books covering the period after 1893. It might be worth sending an e-mail to the address given.
I had a quick look at the 1911 Census entry and it seems that Patrick considered Mary to be his daughter but the enumerator changed his entry to read ‘step daughter’
It seems that my earlier search for a marriage before 1899 was a mistake (assuming they were married before Mary was born). The 1911 Census indicates they were married 10 years so this looks positive:
