Hi There Sheila,

Do you mind hanging in there. I have not got myself disciplined properly as yet. A friend on another site has become a really great friend sending me messages in real time and I have regular phone conversations with her so I am beginning to get my act together. I have to make regular visits to PRONI. I have gathered a long chain of people who require a response from me. I have joined the Linenhall Library so hope that is an incentive to get motivated. There are computers there and in the Central Library in Royal Avenue. I am contemplating purchasing a laptop enabling me to adopt a more professional approach. I have put your name down on the somewhat lengthy list.

Best Wishes, Christopher

Belfast 1901 census lookup
« Reply #12 on: Tuesday 18 December 07 07:23 GMT (UK) »
Hello Christopher,
I see you offered lookups of 1901 census. Are you still able to do this, as I have at least one that I'd love looked up please? Thanks so much!

The name is William SEATON, b.abt 1870, so s/be abt 30-35 yrs old, possibly a mechanic or gardener, with wife, Rebecca Jane, born abt 1873, so abt 28-30yrs old.

Don't know where they were living or even if they had gotten to Belfast by 1901. I think I have found them on the 1912 Ulster Covenant signatures, but not sure if it's them. The wife, Rebecca is  recorded as Jane only. They were at 28 Cuba Street, Mountpottinger. I'm hoping they were around Belfast in 1901, but otherwise I'm out of luck with them! They were married in Dungannon, Co.Tyrone, in 1893.

Thanks very much for any help you can be.

Glynis, in OZ :)

Sarah Hyde Henderson died in the R.V. H. 10 April 1948 (53 years) and is buried in the City cemetery grave P327 in the glenalina extension. Also buried there is her husband William Wallace Henderson died 30 May 1951 (59) There address is given as 267 Donegall Road. If U go to google maps and enter this address the house can be seen at street level. i live in Carnmoney village close to the carnmoney graveyards and have several family menbers buried there. The old graveyard in the church is very early and would not hold any of those U seek. The main graveyards are mostly for belfast burials, do not be confused by the Carnmoney name, it is not a parish burial site. There are over 9000 graves and still expanding. Please look at the www.Belfastcity.gov.org/burial records, which is where i found this info.
The P327 ref. is a grave site. The office on site can provide names and dates of all buried in the plot.often I have found several family members this way then looked them up in the burial record and found addresses.
This is a first post from me so I hope it is helpful and if I can do more as I am on site as it were , please ask.
