1871 census request Somerset/Lambeth
« on: Wednesday 21 April 04 13:37 BST (UK) »
Please could some kind person do a lookup in the 1871 census for me?

I am looking for Clara Scott, who was born at Chard, Somerset, in 1847. She may have been with her uncle, John Scott (born Chard 1832) and his wife Sarah (born 1837 Yarcombe) at Crimchard, Chard, Somerset. Please could someone find that census record for me?

If Clara wasn't with them, her stepfather was living in Lambeth at the time - if it's possible to check for a Clara Scott born in Chard, Somerset, 1847 living somewhere in Lambeth in 1871, I would be really grateful!!

Many many thanks
Jennie

Hi Jennie

Just been given a nudge from Kazza that this is an unanswered census request.

There is no Sarah Scott born in Somerset in Lambeth in 1871 except a 42 year old lodger born in Bridgewater.

So its over to anyone who has access to the cd version or on film from a local record office

Thank you Chris! That was nice of you to look anyway!

Hopefully Ancestry will add Somerset to its 1871 census some time and then maybe some kind person will do a lookup for me! Failing that, I might have a blanket search of Chard district done, to see if she can be spotted somewhere!!

Best wishes
