looking for further info on Daniel mcintosh born 15th dec 1793 in barony glasgow he married  an elizabeth carmichael and the had at least five children
sarah  born 15 dec 1822
john born 19 may 1820
malcolm born 6 july 1828
james born 22 may 1831

james is my great grand father who fought in crimean war and in india he died in stepps glasgow on 13 jan 1908
he was married to  janet mckendrick who died on 25 dec 1932
 
i can find no trace of deaths marriages etc for any of the others
nothing on  the 1841 census.

daniel was a black smith who worked in the tron gate of glasgow a posible confision he was refered to as donald on james's death certificate.

Widow McIntosh, 60-64, Straw hat maker
John McIntosh, 15-19, Chain M lab
James McIntosh, 10, Chain M lab

all b. Lanarkshire

Note - Daniel and Donald were alternatives - like Jean and Jane

The only other one that might fit  on the 1841 is:

Stockwell Street, Close 79, St Enochs
644/1 ED2  Page 10

A family of McGregors and:
Widow McIntosh, 40-44, clipper, b. Scotland
James McIntosh, 10, Tobacco Boy, b. Scotland
