Would you be able to tell me the inscriptions for any Norwoods please?  I have Robert Norwood in my family tree date of birth 1834, I think I have a baptism record for the same year,  but cannot find a record of his death, he disappears off the Census after the 1861 one.

Many thanks

Hello Elalnb. Here is what I have:-

In affectionate remembrance of Sarah Isabella Irwin, the beloved wife of John Henry Irwin of Usworth,
and daughter of John and Mary Norwood of Tow Law, who departed this life January/31/1913 aged 29 years.

In memory of Joseph Norwood, who departed this life December/16/1872 aged 71 years.

Hello Neil. I have already posted the details for both of them.
Todd post number 73 and Rowell post number 80.
It is a good idea to read all the posts for the Tow Law thread before posting because there is  a chance that you may find a link to some other name. Of course that would be a bonus.

Hi Adam, Thanks for the info it is one more piece in the giant puzzle. I should have read on! I have sent a PM to the Rowell connection as it happens here in Australia. The Tow Law Township seems to fit the early migration of the family around Durham County. Quite coincidentally we live in the only Durham county in Australia. Is there a way to find out if there are inscriptions for Frosterly?
Regards
Neil :-[

Hello Neil. If you go to the top bar and do a search for "Frosterley  and Adamand as the user
you will get the M inscriptions for Frosterley.
The first posting will have a list of surnames that are on the gravestones in Frosterley graveyard.
I have posted the lists for about 23 graveyards/cemeteries and most of them are in Weardale.

Hi Adam

I see you have Nattrass mentioned on your list and no-one seems to have asked about them.  I'm looking in particular for an Elizabeth Nattrass nee Topham who was born 1854 and still alive in 1933.  Her husband Thomas died 1927.  Their eldest son Thos James was killed in WWI - found him on the war memorial.  Other sons John, Frederick, Robert, William & Joseph.  Have you anything for them please??
Many thanks
