Hello Jools. I am surprised that there is only one gravestone for Emerson at Tow Law and it is in St Philips churchyard, Tow Law.

"In loving memory of John James Emerson, who died May/21/1881 aged 26 years."

As a matter of interest I had a look at the  1861 census and there are 248  Emmerson/Emerson listed in the Dale. I then had a look at all the Emerson/Emmerson Christian names   because it usually gives a possible link to other families that they intermarried with and there were 26 families with children that had Emerson/Emmerson as a christian name.

I think you may have a problem with the Emerson/Emmersons.

I am sure there may be a Emmerson website dealing with that name where you will find lots of information

Hello Dainer. Just the one inscription for Barrett:-

In loving memory of Peter Barrett, who was fatally injured at Black prince Colliery on the 8th May 1904 aged 52 years.
Also Lavina Barrett, beloved wife of the above, who died 27/January/1932 aged 83 years.
Also John, son of the above, who departed this life January/26/1934? aged 14 years.

Hello Tinner, Here they are:-

This is part of a monument:-
Died march/10/1930 aged 78 years.
Also John Parkin , husband of the late Annie Parkin, died May/15/1932 aged 83 years.

There are two more for Parkin but they are in the late 1950's
