Can You help solve my Dilema..Please..

Do you think this is the same lady..Search as I might I cant find a marriage for them..worse still I cant find a surname for her

Heres what I have

1901 Cencus-Nether Hoyland-Yorkshire
RG13/4321/39/14
25 Silver St

John H Longbottom 48 head b Brighouse    Bricklayer
Luce       " 44 wife b Sheffield
W Dale   " 19 son b     "

Ive never been totally convinced of the "W" next to the Dale!! and he isnt the child of John Longbottom.

Then in 1911-Nether Hoyland

John Henry Longbottom 64 head b Brighouse  Brickmaker
Ellen " 54 b Sheffield

It says married 18yrs

Do you think Luce/Ellen are the same lady ?

Can any one see a marriage for them?

Im going square eyed with my search!!!!!

I couldn't see a John Henry but I found this.

Longbottom  John     Halifax  9a 660   
Stubbs  Ellen     Halifax  9a 660

Might be difficult to confirm if they never had any children.

There's a marriage for a John LONGBOTTOM on the same page as Ellen STUBBS in Sept ¼ 1892 in Halifax district (9a 660) and it would fit datewise too.  It also crosses with an IGI extraction for a marriage dated 6 Aug 1892 of John marrying Ellen STUBBS.

Maybe the only way round this is to find the birth cert / baptism record to get the full info on mum,.

Thank you very much for your replies and I had seen this marriage and Ive not dismissed it either..but the "W Dale Longbottom" I had thought that perhaps the Dale might be a clue to his mothers name  ...

I will go through the Ellen Stubbs again to see if it brings anything else up..

Id gladly purchase any cert LOL!! if it sorted this out..

I should have said that according to the 1911 cencus she had 5 children but only 1 survived and im assuming that"W Dale" is the surviving child..

I'm with FindMyPast and they haven't put Yorkshire on the 1901 yet.
