Look up Request METCALF Alston

I'm trying to find the Christening of Thomas Metcalf born c1804. He named his first 2 children George and Eunice and so I'm wondering if he is related to George Metcalf and Eunice Tatters of Alston.

Can we assume that you have looked at the IGI on www.familysearch.org ?
Batch number P000201 has some Alston baptisms on.  Certainly one child of George and Eunice, William, is baptised some time after his birth so it might be worth widening your search years.
Do census records show that Thomas was born in Alston?

Hi Andrea

Sadly Thomas died before the 1851 census so I have no idea whether he was born in Alston. I just find it unusual that the names George and, particularly, Eunice were introduced into the family and kept in for many generations. I've exhausted all internet options and keep reaching a dead end.
Here's hoping someone may be able to help me
