"I am researching Ann Pickering's line (parents Allen and Susannah). Allen is from the Wrockwardine area in Shropshire. I have traced them back to the mid 1700s. If you would like to see what I've compiled, please inbox me."
Greetings, WOLVERHAMPTON HIGGS -
I am interested in the Wrockwardine PICKERINGs, particularly the family of Allen PICKERING (b. 1804) who married Susannah CARTWIGHT. I believe his sister, Ann PICKERING (b. 1805), was my 3rd great grandmother. She married Joseph COOPER circa 1826 and moved to Pennsylvania, USA, by 1832, where Joseph was a Coal miner.
My research shows that their father was Allen (1750–1816) who married twice: 1st to Ann OLIVER (1752–1790) and 2nd to their mother, Sarah RIGBY (1772– ). I show a faint DNA Match between a RIGBY descendant, my father and a cousin of his, so that gives me some reassurance that I am on the right track.
My user name on Ancestry is the same as on this site. I would be interested in knowing if my research aligns with yours. Sorry. I can't seem to work out how message on here.
