Well, I can't see a George and Charlotte born Notts. either on the 1851.

How do you know about George's father ?

Hi Annh
I have trawled through the same census with the same results. But take care there ar 2 george White's living in Tickhill with only two years between them on age, 1818/20.
Can easily confuse.
I am a member of Doncaster F H S & next time I go I will look at the church recaords for you for the marriage.

Hi Ken   :)

The "other" George - father Samuel on the 1851 - went on to marry a Frances.

There is also another George White married to a Charlotte - born Osset and they appear on the 1861 and 1871 censuses  -  so not them   ;)

I would be interested to know the outcome here :D  Don't like being beat  :D

This is all I could find in the  Tickhill church records.
1891c Charlotte White Widow 87yrs North Gate Tickhill.
1881c George White 63yrs  Carlotte 53 yrs Tickhill. Ann 17. Elizabeth 15. George 13. John 9. Ada 4.
1861c George Ag lab Wife Charlotte Both 43 ..5 Children  Northgate Tickhill.Same address in 1871 & 1881  George death1890 Doncaster registered Q1 1891 9c  459.
This was the best I could do but as you will see they have a job deciding how old they were?

Hi ann
 Access to ancestry.com or co.uk.

You can buy 12 min vouchers and leaving one voucher untouched  to the last day gives you 12 days access to census trancriptions or your 11 vouchers for original views plus one for the last day. but not trees.
about £7  from this you can decide to carry on and subscribe.

or if they still do 14 days free trial but usualy cost one month subscription after at least.

Last and best Libraries have free libraries edition to Ancestry. and email your original census lookups to your self from the library. and decide from there whether to subscribe or not

May have to  pre book a computer though at the library

Dobby
In my opinion the marriage residence is not always the place of birth. Never forget Workhouse and overseers accounts records of birth

Hi

Contact the local studies library/Archives (Combined service) Rotherham Yorkshire and Family history society there (find in Search on web) Also Worksop :-\ In Nottinghamshire (Both on border boundry) the nearest Town to Tickhill Library and FHS.

They will have loads of info on computer transcribed already and they charge little the for the service.

Last LDS IGI and other info worldwide have most parish register entries on IGI film/fiche at their libraries. Cost is about the same.

If you want a result on this marriage the above people own the gold mine and Just its down to luck and time on here.

Maybe Beed counter at Junior level
