Hi Wozzle, Thank you for that information regarding William and Maria Green, also as Coombs pointed out there was a William Nevard to a Maria Heffer, Anna Maria Heffer. Thank you all for the interest shown, think I will leave the marriage William and Maria. The daughter Maud went to New York with her 3 children, sailed from Southampton on the Majestic arrived 24th October 1907. funny thing is I can't find her husband Charles Edward Parslow arriving beforehand.
Kind Regards

In regards to Maud Nevard Parslow...

Maud is my great-grandmother. She and her three children arrived at Ellis Island in 1907. Her children were Charles Jr., Amy and Thomas Parslow. Thomas is my maternal grandfather. Maud was hesitant about leaving her father William, who by this time was a widower. My grandfather related how he and his grandfather would arrive at the armory nearby their house (William was living with Maud and family) and the soldiers standing guard would salute the old Crimean veteran (17th Lancers). They moved to Hackensack, New Jersey. She never saw him again. The Nevard/Parslow family were all bricklayers. Maud's brother William (not mentioned in census) and Ernest were already established in the states and sponsored their brother-in-law Charles in getting work. Charles died in 1925/6 and Maud lived on to 1955/6. There is a photo of she and I (8 months-old) on the back porch of our brick built home (naturally) in the winter of 1955 that hangs in my home along with formal portraits of her parents taken in the late 1890's.

In 1989 I visited my grandfather's old home in Kingston. The house stood at the end of the block on Kings Street (if I remember right). His description of the street and its surroundings was still accurate after 80 years.

Do you happen to know where William is buried?

I hope this has been of help. Thanks

Hi, Thank you for the information regarding Maud Parslow (nee Nevard). Maud's husband Charles Edward Parslow was only my 1st half cousin twice removed. I am afraid I do not know where William was buried. The only thing I found was possibly you know already that he died 1st qt 1916 aged 80, Kingston District Volume 2a Page 628. If you go into "Google" enter The Kingston Life Cycles Database,  enter the name Nevard and William, born 1836, it will give William's addresses 1871, 1881, 1891 census's.
Town of Birth in 1871 1nd 1891 census's mispelt.
