Wark, born Magilligan Parish

I have recently found out that my great great grandfather was born at Magilligan Parish, 22 Oct 1811, His name is James Wark, I have no idea who his parent's or siblings are. Not much to go on I know.
   Could anyone tell me where there are good sites to search this area, as it is all new to me.
   I really need some help and would really appreciatte help as well as suggestions.

I am puzzled why this thread is set up as a poll.
In answer to the first question re: birth certificate- civil registration of births started in 1864 so there will be no birth certificate for James Wark born 1811, his parents or siblings.
You need to search for church records, if they exist to search for a baptism for James c1811 but early registers often don't give the name of the mother.
If James Wark was Protestant and married in Ireland after 1845 his marriage certificate should list his residence and father's name and occupation which would be a start.

Whoops, I'm not sure what happened that this is a poll either, I am not sure what a poll is?
I am not sure what religion James would have been listed as when he was born, in the 1851 census, he is Church of Scotland, in 1861 he is United Presbyterian and after that he is Methodist. Any one any suggestions where I should start searching, as I said before this is all new to me in this area.

James Wark was married at Fitzroy Harbor, Ontario, Canada to Mary Ann Terry, suppose to be a Cousin of the famous Dame Ellen Terry , actress in England.

          I have looked at the 1796 Flax Growers Register and the 1831 Census index for Londonderry and cannot find any Wark/Warkes in the Magilligan parish of Tamlatarde. However as you stated that your Wark was born in Magilligan I assume that some of this district was in the neighbouring parishes where I have found Warks, Dunboe, Drumachose and Tamlaght Finlagan. At some point the parish of Aghanloo was formed which came between Drumachose and Tamlaghtarde. If you think that these names might be of use please let me know.

The 1851 census also says he was born in "Donegall" in Ireland.

 have been searching for many years for James in Co. Donegal, recently I found his obituary which states he was born Co.,of Donegal, parish of Magilliagan, near Londonderry.James Wark was
either born in County Donegal, or he was born in Magilligan (correctly
called Tamlaghard Magilligan), County Londonderry.  There is no Magilligan
Parish in Donegal.  Actually, Magilligan is that part of Co Derry which
almost touches Donegal at the top of Lough Foyle . ( This information was sent to my by a fellow that is very familiar with Donegal.)
   So now I am searching this area to see if I might find something.

It sounds strange that someone from Magilligan area would say they were born in Co. Donegal.
In 1864 there was a James Warke teacher at Myroe Male National School but not sure where he was from originally. There certainly were Warkes at Broharris, Myroe (Robert Warke died 1867 aged 88 years and Samuel Warke died 1866 aged 87 years).
