Census lookup - Alice Ferguson
« on: Thursday 29 January 09 05:26 GMT (UK) »
Hi Guys.

I"m looking for information regarding my Great great Grandmother, Alice Ferguson. I have looked all over the Net and have found nothing. She Married Alfred Edward Harnett in Waiotemarama on the 03 September 1900.

Any Information would be greatly received.

Thanks

K.

Hi K
We can't look up census records in NZ sadly, all destroyed

Electoral rolls are on CD's 1881, 1893 and coming later in the year 1896

What was Alice's birthdate? age when she married.
Do you have her parents? we may find more info on her if we know her parents.

Street Directories are available for lookups in lots of libraries, that way you can find where they lived etc occupations.

Later Electoral rolls are also in some libraries, but are not indexed so you need to know the areas they lived.

Bye
Althea  ;)

On the marriage index Alice's surname has been recorded as FERGESS, a not uncommon problem sadly.

Do you have all their death info?

Sadly I know nothing of her parentage but she was born around 1883 in Waimamaku and died 12 May 1945 in Waimamaku

Sounds like a good investment would be the marriage certificate  :)
