I agree this 1871 entry looked promising, however I don't believe it can be my William and Mary Ann. In 1871 my William would have been 25, Mary Ann 30. They didn't have either a daughter named Jane or a son named William listed with them in 1881. Of course that could just mean that both children died. How sad that would be.
I really need to find their daughter Annie's birth certificate as it would have an address for them in 1872 and that would give me something to go on. Any ideas on preceeding?
In the 1851 Census William would be five years old, Mary Ann 10, and hopefully both still living with their respective parents. I have no idea as yet what their names were. Got to find William and Mary Ann's marriage certificate...that would answer a lot of questions.
